BLANCO AMERICA SUCKS

NEWS FLASH!! Effective September 1, 2006 Blanco (stainless steel sink manufacturer) began enforcing it's new Internet Minimum Advertised Pricing policy and has threatened dealers with account closure for non-compliance. A legal, sanitary way of fixing prices.

I guess a few of the old timers who still use typewriters and rotary dial telephones had complained to management at Blanco about lower prices on the web. Lower prices on the web? What a concept. Who would have thought that lower overhead and lower selling costs would relate to lower selling prices? Certainly not the old timers. Anyway, those cowardly cowards at Blanco caved in and fixed the price. Overnight the price of the Blanco Stainless Steel Sinks shot up almost 20% for no good reason.

Oh well. Blanco does make a great sink. But in the long run I think they will suffer by fixing prices themselves instead of letting the market do it. Price fixing is bad for everyone. That's why I say, Mr. Blanco, you suck.
