WINBOOK NOTEBOOK COMPUTERS SUCK
If you are reading this then you probably just searched for a review on Winbook notebook computers. The Winbook notebook computer is made in Communist Red China, of course. More than likely using the cheapest prison labor they can find. Child molestors, murderer's, and rapists, as well as your every day run of the mill criminal type probably all have a hand in making Winbook notebook computers. Equally as low, are the salespeople, customer service representatives and technical support teams at Winbook right here in the good old USA. That's right, I'm talking about those friendly folks who answer the phone, take your order and provide you with all the support you're going to need. They're ripping us off.
For example, when I bought my Winbook A730, the salesperson asked me if i wanted the extended protection package for a couple hundred dollars. I said no, like I usually do to these kinds of scams. Then, the salesperson said, well, if you have any problems, like if you spill something on it or the screen gets damaged, you'll wish you had bought that protection. So, I said OK. Let me have it. I got it alright. Hard and dry. A year has gone by now and I finally spilled some water on the keyboard. Within a very few minutes the keys quit working. Not surprising since the product was made by the lowest bidder in Communist Red China. But not to worry I said to myself, I have the insurance. Right away I phoned up Winbook Technical Support and was promptly told the warranty does not cover that kind of problem. He said call customer service, maybe they'll help. So I called them. Same answer. No dice. I was shit out of luck.
So now I'm going to have to buy a new computer. For sure, it won't be a Winbook. Not just because their computers are crappy. But because they are a bunch of liars who will say anything to sell you one. I'll buy another brand, just as crappy, probably made by a different group or even the same group of Chinese criminals. That's about the size of it. I was conned by Winbook.
If after reading this you go ahead an buy a Winbook anyway, just beware of the "bait and hook" sales tactics. Remember, you're buying a piece of crap to begin with. Don't give them the extra money for a worthless warranty. It's a scam, it's money that goes straight to Winbook's bottom line. Another case of Corporate America using and abusing people for higher profits.
