Al "Keep Hate Alive" Sharpton

Don Imus's comments about those black women basketball players were harsh but not anything like the filthy crap you hear coming from all the black rappers these days. Which seems to be pretty widely accepted in the black community. How would it sit if Imus had just whipped up a mix of black rap trashing black women and played that instead? Probably worse, for some reason. Certainly wouldn't be very tasteful. But is Don Imus a racist or just drawing attention to a condition that affects mostly black people? Self degradation. Imus doesn't make this stuff up - black rappers do - FOR MONEY! It's tragic but in the long run, maybe people like Al "Keep Hate Alive" Sharpton will realize that this problem has a firm foundation in the black community and that's where the rooting out needs to start. In my opinion, Don Imus is as much a victim as the women ball players.
