Ray Nagin Says "Jump"

...and Anderson Cooper says "How High". It was just barely a week ago when New Orleans Mayor, Ray Nagin was out doing his usual whining and complaining, and blaming others for the ills of New Orleans. He mentioned Anderson Cooper by name when he was hollering about how no one is paying attention to New Orleans anymore.

Fast forward to June 11 and sure enough, there he is, Pretty Boy Cooper. All over New Orleans like a bum on a baloney sandwich. Reporting the same old crap. Crime is up, pumps don't work, levies might not hold, progress is slow, Nagin's complaining, and crime is up. What else can you say? The people of the United States and the United States Government have been very generous with those folks down there. Problem is they don't appreciate anything. You put a roof over their head - they trash it. You give them money - they buy dope. They buy guns. They rob, they rape, they murder.

Well, Ray, I guess if you want more coverage you best give them something to cover. Guns, drugs, rape and murder can't compete with Paris Hilton, the war in Iraq, and the price of gas.
