China hopes to cure Internet addicts at summer camp
State media in Red China has reported that about 2.6 million -- or 13 percent -- of China's 20 million Internet users under 18 are classed as addicts. China's Communist leader Hu Jintao has been quoted as saying "10 summer days in a prison labor camp should cure them of their disease".
The 10-day program would accept youngsters aged between 14 and 22. Jintao said they would be housed in filthy, rat infested shacks and fed a steady diet of fresh fish from the Huai River. If they're still addicted after that, "we'll just shoot them" the President said.
