Catherine McCabe EPA

I watched Ms. McCabe on CNN tonight talking about how aggressive the EPA is when it comes to enforcing the clean up and getting the owners to pay. Well, I don't believe she cares one way or the other whether anyone other than the taxpayers pick up the tab for cleaning up these hazardous waste sites. For example I complained about a n abandoned property in El Paso, Texas last year that needed cleaning up. The address is 4313 Rosa, El Paso, Texas. My complaint is well documented with Eileen McMahon and Richard E. Greene. This property was cleaned up and then turned over to the owner to be sold without the owner paying one penny for cleaning it up. It amounts to nothing more than a gift from the EPA to the owner of that property. The property was worthless and had over $9000.00 in unpaid property taxes and was about to be taken over by the city of El Paso when the EPA came in and gifted the owner with the clean up. The owner rushed to pay the property taxes, the suit was dropped and the property was sold. I'd like to get Ms. McCabe's explanation for that. It's just a waste of taxpayer money and you cannot say that it just slipped thru the cracks. Richard E. Greene and his bunch knew about it - and let it happen. No wonder this country is going down the toilet.
