Rick Guthrie - Super Steamer Carpet Cleaner - El Paso, Texas
This posting is reserved for Slick Rick Guthrie of Super Steamer, a carpet cleaning business in El Paso, Texas. There seems to be a problem with one of Rick Guthrie's carpet cleaning jobs. Or maybe not. Maybe Rick Guthrie of Super Steamer just likes ripping people off. I've left about 4 messages for Rick to call me back but so far not one call has been returned. I thought Mr. Guthrie was an honest businessman at first but I'm not so sure now.
You see, I hired Rick Guthrie of Super Steamer here in El Paso to clean a carpet for me. It was required in the move out agreement at the Pear Tree Apartments (which we already know is a broken down filthy rat hole). I met Rick Guthrie at the Pear Tree Apartments one day and he told me he cleans a lot of carpets for the Pear Tree Apartments. So I asked him if he' d do mine. He said sure. He did it and I paid him. Now, less than 30 days later I get statement from the Pear Tree Apartments and they have deducted 35 dollars from my security deposit for carpet cleaning. I assume that Rick Guthrie of Super Steamer is the one who did the job so I called him to see what the deal was. Why would he have to clean that carpet again? Maybe he didn't clean it again. Maybe he said he cleaned it and charged 35 dollars to the Pear Tree Apartments who in turn charged me for it. Or maybe the Pear Tree Apartments is trying to rip me off. So I went over there and asked them about it. They said they'd check into it but I haven't heard anything back from them. And since Rick Guthrie hasn't called me back either I can only assume that the two are working together on this. I always knew that the people running the Pear Tree Apartments were a bunch of crooks. I don't believe the statement of deposit they sent me is any accident. I think they are deliberately trying to steal my security deposit and they've drawn Rick Guthrie of the Super Steamer into their web and possibly corrupted him, if he isn't already corrupt.
Bottom line - when in doubt, opt out. I cannot recommend Rick Guthrie or the Super Steamer carpet cleaning business here in El Paso, Texas based on what has happened. If Mr. Guthrie had just returned one of my phone calls this post might not have been necessary. But he hasn't. Instead, Rick Guthrie hides like a coward behind his cell phone voice mail.
Rick Guthrie, you suck. It's time to come clean. Return my phone call. Tell me what you know about the money that the Pear Tree Apartments stole from my security deposit.
I don't care about the money, Rick. 35 dollars isn't enough to worry about. I just don't like people who taking advantage, ripping people off, and then thinking they got away with it. And that seems to be what you have done. Pick yourself up, Rick. Go out and get your self respect back. Don't lower yourself to the level of the Pear Tree Apartments. You should drop that account like a bag of dirt because they've dragged you down into the same filthy muck that made them what they are.
And for any of you folks considering moving into the Pear Tree Apartments, I strongly recommend that you not. Click here to find out why.
